If you found your way here, we'd like to welcome you to Altered Lions and Sacrificial Lambs. This blog is dedicated to exploring the men of Twilight, as well as giving attention to what so many consider the AU of Twilight. Our goals are simple. We want to, perhaps, change your way of thinking and get you to explore the many different characterizations and genres that this great series has inspired in so many. And, at the same time, it's opening us up to experience more, as well.
Now, many of us are Jasper-centric. We like him. We love him. And, I can't promise you that you won't see him and a story mentioned from time to time. But, we are all open minded, and we all do have one thing in common. We like to read quality fiction. And, while some of us rather enjoy stepping into another genre and experiencing different characters and/or couples, some of us are hard-headed, but will still most likely give it a shot. I think it's safe to say that we all read Twilight, and we all fell in love with the series, AND, we all fell in love with Bella and Edward.
Even if they both needed to be bitch-slapped from time to time.
We're still getting used to this process, but we've managed to nail down a few things. We have, of course, The House of Debauchery, brought to you by Maj (missmaj) and Mae (Zaytyll), which is purely just for show and tell. Eye candy is plentiful here, and who knows? You might see an image that could inspire you for a scene in a lemon, or just make you squee because 'That is one big....and oh, OH.' Our site is strictly for those over the age of 18, and it's content is not suitable for everyone.
We have one shot recommendations every Wednesday, and every Sunday we'll either feature multi-chapter recommendations, or the occasional tribute to an author. Tina (JaspersDestiny) is already featuring Tuesday's grammar tips, and she'll teach us all a little about grammar and sentence structure. Tina is also doing what is called 'Where In The World Is...', where she features authors whose great stories have been left behind, the ones we don't want to delete from our favorites, or our alerts. She attempts to contact the author and let's them know that we are featuring their story or stories, in hopes that somehow we can encourage them to finish. She featured Janna Banana last Saturday, and we received a response that's posted on this blog.
We also have our group review,where we'll all review a story that was picked by poll from our group. Each month is specifically set around one character or group of characters, and the group review will be centered around a story where that character holds a dominant role in the story.
This month is Jasper. We gave him November because New Moon comes out, and we needed to pay him homage because they made Jackson wear a fucked-up wig. Ugh. Shitteous. Next month we'll be focusing on the Volturi. And, for the next six weeks, you'll get to know these Lambs a little bit better on Meet and Greet Monday.
Our layout is changing, and so is the banner (if it's that shitteous one with all the faces on it). Lucy (catonspeed), our queen graphic guru, is probably making changes as you read this. We're adding things all the time, and those pics over there on the side are gonna get slapped around and straightened out. We're spreading the word, and we hope you will, too.
