Wednesday One Shots

IdreamofEddy recommends Persephone by S R Devaste

How Aro met and turned Jane, and more importantly why he forgot her. Aro/Jane. Rated M.

Persephone is a one shot that tells the story of how Jane and Alec were essentially brought into the Volturi fold. It's a great interpretation of how the author perceived it, and it's unique, original, and great by its own right.

It's hard to imagine Aro as more than an evil being. Aro has always simply had that air about him... You know - the maniacal, crafty, manipulative, possible child molester type? Well, the author gives her Aro all of those characteristics, and she wrote a quality one shot that makes you sympathize with our human Jane and Alec. And in the end, you've got to love Alec for unknowingly protecting his sister from a sick and sadistic Aro.

It's a well-written and original one shot. Go read it.

Jasper’s Bella recommends Kinetic Energy by CatieLardin

Bella is sentenced to live with the Volturi for 50 years after she stops Edward from exposing vampires to the human world. Seven years after her change, can Edward prove his love, or will Bella finally realize that another Vampire has captured her heart. Demetri/Bella. Rated M.

From the moment Demetri first sees Bella, he’s having lusty thoughts of her. Of course this only pisses off Edward.

Instead of getting to leave with Edward and Alice to live her happily ever after, Bella is forced to live with the Volturi for her crime in knowing about the vampire world. Personally, I feel that Assward let Bella go too easily. Bella seems to accept her fate without any hesitation. Demetri is quite surprised to find out that Aro wants him to change Bella, along with Felix changing Gianna. Skip ahead 7 years, Demetri and Bella have developed a close friendship. Demetri is completely in love with Bella, but he doesn’t think she feels the same way about him. Aro allows Edward, Carlisle, and Esme to visit Bella, and Demetri wonders what Edward will do when he finds out Demetri loves Bella. Demetri is sent away, and when he returns from his trip, Bella is quite pissed off at him. And he has no clue why. Go and read this story to find out.

I thought CatieLardin did a great job with this one shot and she shows that not all of the Volturi are heartless. They are a family and care about one another. Demetri and Bella are both stubborn and need a good shove towards one another. Luckily, CatieLardin also spares us the details of Bella burning and we just see Demetri keeping watch over her. Look out for a lemon in the end.

JaspersDestiny recommends The Hunt and the Seduction by KariAnn

For bad boy vamps Felix and Demetri, is the kill purely about the blood - or do they take pleasure from the hunt and the seduction? This is a lighthearted smutfest involving Felix and Demetri “hunting” in a nightclub, because I heart bad boys. Pairing: Felix/Demetri/OC. Rating: NC-17.

Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty.

Tee hee hee...

Oh, soooo Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty.

Felix and Demetri are just...GAH! You see, I am 33 years old, and I have maybe been 'clubbing' all of five times my entire life. Because I hate clubs. Emotionless meat markets, that's all they are.

But WTF have I been missing all these years? Let's not discuss the fact that vampires don't actually exist. But I can pretend, right? Because I'd high-tail it to a club in a nano-second if it meant that I would get 'packaged' by these two studs...

Pure porn. Delicious. And, no, it is not PWP. But it is a one shot, so how much do you actually expect to happen in 4863 words? KariAnn's attention to detail is fantastic. Dana is not the only one being seduced in this one shot. We get seduced wickedly, too. And if I had to be hunted by vampires, I couldn't fathom a better way to go...

This is a one shot you read with hooded eyes, as you try to hide the 'porn face' you make on the subway going into work.

God bless My Vamp Fiction. The Literate Union wouldn't know what the fuck to do with a one shot like this, and thank God KariAnn can't be touched by their nasty, FFn-reporting fingers. They'd probably accidentally cream their 18 year old virginized shorts reading this bad boy.

*pulls up skirt and flashes the LU some girl-meat* TAKE THAT, suckers!

Read this one shot. Seriously. Read this one shot.

Maelyn recommends Still Here, Still Doing That by iaculum

How do you think poor old Marcus felt when Edward came to visit the Volturi? Edward was the same as him, they had both lost their true loves.. This is Edwards visit to the Volturi from Marcus' POV. One shot. Rated K.

I had to end the month with one of my favorite Volturi men - Marcus. I would have liked to have found a good lemony one shot, but I was unable to find anything suitable. After a little searching, I came across this little gem. It's not lemony, but it seems to capture Marcus fairly well, I think.

Have you ever imagined what it feels like for Marcus to be surrounded by mated couples? To come across them in his daily routine and be constantly reminded of his loss? I do. And that is one of the things that drew me to Marcus - his tragedy. He makes you want to just comfort him and find a way to make him happy. This author seems to have captured that.

While Marcus is silent and seemingly apathetic on the outside, I never thought of him as such on the inside. I imagine he would have a lot of the anger and sorrow that this author expresses. And to see Edward come to them and request death when he thinks Bella is dead, well, I can see how Marcus would empathize with Edward's plight.

This is very well done, and well-written. I love the glimpse into Marcus' mind. Kudos to iaculum, because I think she did a great job. *claps*

missmaj recommends Nowhere to Run by Stephycats7785

No matter where she hid or how fast she ran, he was always able to find her. She would never be able to escape from him no matter how much she wished she could. She was forever trapped in the web of Volturi tracker Demetri. Leah/Demetri. Rated T.

I was about to give up on my Volturi dumpster-diving when I came across this story. Written in Leah's POV, the story is set post-Breaking Dawn. Vampires and wolves finally seem to be at peace. Everyone else has had their HEA, except for Leah. She never imprinted on someone and Demetri is obsessed with her. They are playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse. No matter how far or where Leah goes, Demetri is always there to claim her. She always succumbs to his wishes, no matter how much she tries to restrain herself. An interesting take on Demetri and Leah, two characters with such strong personalities.

  1. Haha, thanks for the rec, Tina!

Hey, if you ladies are looking for Volturi-centered fics to rec, my WIP, In Pursuit of Normalcy (which is very Volturi-centered) is up for a Bellie. Just sayin,' lol. ;)

    Again, thanks so much!
