Tina's Story, Parts III, IV, V, and Epilogue

Yay! MiniMaj has finished my story! If you didn't get a chance to read Parts I and II, click HERE. MiniMaj is quite the little woman... Watch out fandom, she's coming to get you in, oh, say 6 years...? I want to fold her up and put her in my pocket, but Aunt Maelyn says she has size 10 1/2 feet...so, for a twelve year old, she's probably too Amazon-like, oui? By the way, here is little Miss MiniMaj on a cruise vacation just recently, and she's belting her little heart out to Bon Jovi with her girlfriend (she's the one on the right, in the black dress). Her aunts are trying to embarrass her on YouTube, so they want people to comment on the site so they can hit at least 100 views <-- Do it!

The continuation of my story, aka
February (and March...and April...yeah, I'm lazy - deal) is...Tina's Month!...s!

-- PART THREE --

"So, the Periwinkles are actually shape shifters?" I asked Allyx/Maj. I'd just gotten home from winning the lottery, and Maj had arrived minutes after I had. I'd explained to her why I had a Flying Unicorn in my apartment, and why there was blood in my bedroom. Then, Allyx had taken over and told me about the Periwinkles.

"Yes, but they prefer to take the form of their victim's worst fears - they feed off of fear," Allyx gave me an odd look. "Obviously, you're terrified of clowns. I'm not too fond of rose bushes, myself." She cringed.

"You're deepest, darkest, worst fear is of rose bushes?" I asked, truly surprised. "I'd figure that you'd be more of a scared-of-the-dark kind of gal."

"Hello?" she said, raising her eyebrows and waving her hands around. "I may be in control of Maj's body, here, but I'm a Sparkle. Which means that I'm my own night light. Or lamp. Or star, if I choose to be."

"Oh, yeah. Forgot about that whole small, glowing orb thing. Anyway, how do I defeat the Periwinkles?"

"Well," Allyx said, settling back into her serious expression. "You need to destroy their leader. And to do that, you need . . ."

"Oh, no. Not again." I put my head in my hands. I heard the hissing sound again, but didn't bother to look up.

"The Scrunchy of Wonder. It will help you think clearly when all hope is lost, and will guide you -"

"You're kidding, right? This is a sick practical joke, right?" I stood up, just a bit angry. "Alright, you can bring out the TV crew and Ashton Kutcher now. Seriously, I'm done."

I stormed off in the general direction of my bedroom, and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow that I happened to land on. I dreamed of lollipops, frying pans, and scrunchies. I don't know where the lollipops came from, but it was a dream. When I woke up, I could hear Maj, Allyx and Ed talking.

"She doesn't want to do it - find someone else," Maj was saying. I stayed in bed and listened to the argument.

"She is our Queen, and we need her to end this," Allyx hissed. "This is something that she alone can do - no other possesses the power that she has."

"What power?" Maj asked. "The power to use The Frying Pan of Destiny? Or the Scrunchy of Wonder? I thought that you said the Sparkles' greatest warriors could use them."

"Christina's power is yet to be revealed. Even she doesn't know of it," Allyx said. "When the time is right, it will make itself known."

"Oh, well isn't that nice," Maj said, and I could hear the frustration in her voice. "She's defenseless - other than her frying pan and scrunchy - until 'the time is right' for her power to show up for the party."

"The power is growing inside of her," Ed said. "I could feel it when I was flying with her. She has a great gift that will soon become apparent."

I slowly walked into my living room, and the argument stopped as soon as I was in their line of sight. I stood in front of my friends, and took a shaky breath. My hands were shaking at my sides, so I closed them into fists. I closed my eyes.

"I'll do it. I'll kill the Periwinkle's leader." And that was that.

-- SOMEWHERE IN PENNSYLVANIA --

Mae was watching a Syfy movie, and laughing at the stupid people on the TV. She was also talking to her niece, Amanda, via gchat. Right when the evil giant robot chicken exploded, there was a scratching noise at her door. Thinking that it was her sister's cat, Piwacket, she got up and opened the door for her. But what waited on the other side of the door was definitely not a kitty.

There was a spider, twice as big as Mae, waiting for her on the other side of the door. Mae let out a squeak and backed up as the spider approached her slowly. The spider knocked over her computer and TV, but she didn't really notice at the time. When she'd backed into her bed, she turned around and ran into her bathroom, shut the door, and hid in her tub, waiting for it to go away. The spider kept scratching at the door, and it eventually broke the door down completely. Mae sat, whimpering, in her tub as the spider turned sideways and squeezed through the doorway.

As the spider got closer, Mae whimpered louder. When it finally was standing above her, she let out an ear-piercing scream. Too bad her sister was at work today.

-- BACK IN TORONTO --

I was checking my e-mail - maybe for the last time, which is really depressing - when Amanda sent me an IM.

"Tina? Are the Sparkles back?"

I wasn't exactly sure what she meant, so I waited for her to explain.

'With spiders?'

With spiders? What? I replied to her, '?'.

"Aunt Mae was found dead in her bathroom, covered in spiderwebs." I think my heart actually missed a beat. Tears built up behind my eyes, and my hands started shaking.

'Was it the Sparkles?' I couldn't breathe right, much less respond.

"No," Ed said from behind me. "It was the Periwinkles. This 'Mae' person must have been afraid of spiders. Now do you understand? This is why you must fight them."

That snapped me out of the haze. The Periwinkles killed Amanda's aunt - my friend. They were going to pay. Oh, yeah. 'No, it's not the Sparkles, it's something else. Don't worry - I've got this under control.'

I didn't even bother waiting for her to respond, I just closed my laptop. I stood up and looked at Ed, who was raising his eyebrow at me. I grabbed my magic blanket, The Frying Pan of Destiny, and The Scrunchy of Wonder, and went in search of Maj and Allyx. She was in my bedroom, inspecting the blood that was still on my carpet. I cleared my throat, and Allyx/Maj rose slowly.

"Where can I find this son of a bitch?" I said. Allyx/Maj smiled at me and nodded in approval.

"He has to be summoned," she said, once again reaching behind her back. I braced myself for The Duster of Doom, or The Oven Mitt of Power. Maybe even The Shower Curtain of Über-Coolness. Instead, she pulled out a spear. "Using his spear from three thousand years ago, Okk-okk. This spear had great power once, but it has faded over the years. He is not aware of the fact that now it's just a branch with a rock tied onto the top of it. You must go somewhere where nobody will see you, and say this; 'I, Christina, Queen of the Sparkles, call upon the one that once possessed Okk-okk!'"

Out of nowhere, wind started howling in my bedroom, and to my left, a bright red light started to appear. Allyx looked at the light and her eyes got wide. She tossed the spear to me and I caught it. My hair was flying everywhere and I had to squint so that my hair didn't whip me in the eye. Still clutching the spear, I watched in amazement and horror as the red light turned into a...a...

It turned into another freaking chihuahua. A teacup chihuahua, no less. Pfft. I rolled my eyes at him, then looked over to Allyx.

"Oops," was all that she said. It was all that she could say, actually, because at that exact moment, the small brown creature attacked her.

-- PART FOUR --

Crap.

-- PART FIVE --

--SOMEWHERE IN DELAWARE--

Amanda sat on the couch in her living room, still wearing her black dress from the funeral that day. She sat, staring at the light bulb in the lamp. She sat, thinking about her aunt who had died only four days before. She sat, thinking about the giant spiders that could be going for anyone at that very moment. She sat -

"Amanda..." Amanda's head whipped around at the sound of her aunt's voice. She knew that her house was haunted. "Amanda..." Her voice was coming from the basement. Perfect. The basement never ceased to creep Amanda out anytime that she went down there. Slowly and quietly, Amanda rose from the couch and cautiously walked to the basement door. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door. Down the stairs there was a flash of white in the form of her Aunt Mae, heading towards the workshop.

Amanda slowly descended down the dark basement stairs, thinking that if she turned on the lights, her aunt would disappear. Her black heels clicked against the aging wood, making it all that creepier. She closed the door behind her, and headed towards the workshop. When she rounded the corner separating the workshop from the rest of the basement, she stumbled backwards and started breathing in short, quick breaths.

Standing in the middle of the workshop was her Aunt Mae, completely white and glowing. She had a smile on her face, and she shone a little brighter. She beckoned for Amanda to come closer, and Amanda slowly walked towards her. Mae's smile got wider, and she shone that much brighter.

"Amanda," she said, and her voice sounded...strange. Like there were two Maes, both talking at once. "I've been brought back from the dead to assist you, Tina, and the Sparkles in this war against the Periwinkles."

It took a full minute for this to register in Amanda's brain. "What?" she said, her voice only a little above a whisper.

"Sorry," Mae said, sounding much more like herself. "They told me to say that. Anyway, this big, glowing...thing approached me after I died, saying, 'You must return to the land of the living and tell Amanda this message before saving the world.' Well, something like that. Anyway, the Sparkles have gotten on the bad side of these bad-ass things that take the form of your greatest fear. That's what killed me - it took the form of a giant spider. Now that I think back on it, it was really Syfy movie material. So, anyway - death isn't all that it's made up to be. I spent four days - four days!! - just floating around in some dark hole. Nothing else, just floating around, no specific direction in mind -"

"The point?" Amanda interrupted.

"Right. So, here I am, floating around in this empty darkness, and all of a sudden - out of nowhere - out of thin air - like some cheap CGI trick, this really, really bright - and I'm talking really bright light appears in front of me. It tells me that I need to save the world from the evil Periwinkles, and also help the Sparkles. You know, that might have been a Sparkle..."

"Oh, my God! We need to go and save the world!" Amanda said, running towards the stairs. Mae popped in front of her, making Amanda stumble into - and through - Mae.

"Sorry," Mae said, stepping back as Amanda stood back up and dusted herself off. "Still getting used to this whole 'dead' thing. Anyway, you have to fly to Toronto as soon as possible. I'll go ahead and help Tina. I think she needs it right about now."

And with that, Mae disappeared, and Amanda went back upstairs to book a flight to Toronto.

--BACK IN TORONTO--

As soon as the chihuahua started flying towards Allyx, it grew fangs bigger than its head and started wailing its head off. It was an ear-piercing, high-pitched noise that I never want to hear ever again in my life. Scary to think that the evil little chihuahua with fangs could actually kill you in your sleep. Huh. The sound of a dog whimpering snapped me out of the haze that I was in.

The saber-toothed chihuahua was on its back, whimpering, as Allyx/Maj stood over it, horns, wings, sword and all. She moved the sword closer to the chihuahua's throat and it closed its eyes. Why, why did everyone else get to have all of the awesome powers? Feeling left out, I held up the Frying Pan of Destiny, aimed it at the chihuahua, and took back some awesomeness.

"I, Christina, Queen - Majesty, Master of the Sparkles, command you..." I looked at Maj/Allyx for help.

"Molokaiaihaihawhipaloopahlissry," she whispered. I had absolutely no idea what she'd just said to me, but I was about eighty percent sure that she didn't cuss me out in whatever language that the Sparkles speak.

"Right," I said. "Mo-whatever, I hereby command you to die! And you can take all of your clown friends with you, too!"

I waited for the frying pan to start glowing again, but it didn't. Disappointed, I closed my eyes and willed it to kill them. I opened one eye, only to see Maj/Allyx trying not to laugh at me.

"Don't make me take out the Scrunchy of Wonder!" I started to take it off of my wrist, but the dog started whimpering again. I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Wait, don't do that!" he said, and I almost laughed. He even had a Spanish accent! "How about I promise never to give you - the humans, that is - or the Sparkles any more trouble ever again? Please don't make the Warrior Goddess kill me!"

"Warrior Goddess?" I turned to Allyx, who narrowed her eyes at the dog. She glanced at me out of the corner of her eye, and her eyes had turned bright yellow. It was scary.

"I haven't been called by that name for a long time, Molokaiaihaihawhipaloopahlissry. My people have lost faith in the old ways - they no longer believe in me." Now that I was watching, Allyx had actually started to turn yellow, too. Like Maj's 'true form' was darkness, Allyx's was light. Her horns had a faint yellow glow to them, and her wings were beginning to sparkle golden.

"Careful, Allyxandri'ah," the small Mexican chihuahua said. "Don't want to let your true self come out to play, now do you?"

"Oh, is that right?" Allyx said, and pulled the sword back. Without ever taking her eyes off of Molokaiaihaihawhipaloopahlissry, she shouted something that sounded like a series of hisses. There was a blinding light, and I turned away from it, shielding my face from the light.

"No, you wouldn't, Allyx. It would draw too much attention," boomed a voice that seemed to be coming from everywhere at once. It sounded oddly familiar... The light faded, and I turned to see Mae standing in my bedroom, glowing. She didn't have any color - she was completely and unnaturally white. Allyx backed up a few steps until she ran into my bed and sat on it. Mae smiled at her, and then turned to Molokaiaihaihawhipaloopahlissry. "Molokaiaihaihawhipaloopahlissry, leader of the Periwinkles, I have been sent from beyond the grave to rid the world of you and your kind. I'm nicer than most, though..." She glared at me, and then Allyx, before looking back at Molokaiaihaihawhipaloopahlissry. "Well, at least most of the time. Anyway, instead of killing you, I will just force you and all of your Periwinkles to live as humans on this Earth."

Mae reached out her hand and lightning literally shot from her fingertips and hit the chihuahua. Slowly, before my eyes, Molokaiaihaihawhipaloopahlissry turned into a small Mexican man. He had clothes on, which may have been a good thing, because he was just a bit on the heavy side. Just a lot.

He screamed, stood, and ran out of my apartment. I started laughing hysterically - something that I'd been wanting to do ever since I'd gotten the Frying Pan of Destiny. This was all just a bit too funny.

As I was laughing, I noticed that my eyes were getting heavy. I stumbled my way over to my bed and fell asleep as I was falling onto the soft mattress.

-- EPILOGUE --

I woke up on a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning, and stretched in bed. I smiled as I thought about the strange, strange dream that I'd just had. Something about clowns and frying pans. Weird, I know, but it was a dream, what do you expect? I climbed out of bed from under the covers and walked into the bathroom. On the way to the bathroom, I stepped on something crusty on my carpet.

I looked down and saw blood, which was odd. Dismissing it, I continued walking to the bathroom. I stopped again on the way, noticing a frying pan sitting next to my dresser. I dismissed that, too, telling myself that I'd forgotten to put it away when I was...frying eggs in my bedroom. Well, I didn't know what I'd left it out from, but I ignored it anyway. When I reached the door to the bathroom, I decided that I wanted coffee before anything else. Walking out to the kitchen, I noticed that there was a gigantic, winged unicorn and a glowing person in my living room. I must have bought some new art and forgotten about it.

As I poured my coffee, I realized that it wasn't a dream. There was actually a Flying Unicorn in my living room named Ed, and Mae's ghost was also there. The Frying Pan of Destiny was next to my dresser, and the blood was from a Periwinkle that'd taken the form of a clown that I'd killed. Holy crap, this called for a drink. Or ten.

-- WHERE THEY ARE TODAY --

Molokaiaihaihawhipaloopahlissry is finding human life a bit...awkward. He goes to a therapist now, and she finds it a bit weird that he thiks that he was previously a chihuahua, and a leader of the Periwinkles. His therapist is considering sending him to the nice doctors in the white coats.

Ed now spends his free time standing very still outside of town halls, pretending to be a statue.

He enjoys the amazement of the town folk as they stare at the new 'art' in their beloved town. Then they're shocked when it's not there the next day. Occasionally, he flies out to LA to walk in the background of movies and TV shows. It kind of freaks some people out.

Allyx is considering going back to her people, but, honestly, she'd miss the humans. She misses how she used to be a Goddess, worshipped by the lesser Sparkles. But, that was a long time ago, and times have changed...

Tina has framed the Frying Pan of Destiny and the Scrunchy of Wonder. She's moved from her small apartment to a six-story mansion with twenty-four bedrooms. She also houses orphans with mental issues.

Sounds exciting, right? Yeah.

As for Mae... She's still around. Well, she's still dead, but her ghost is still around. She's still getting used to the whole, "I got eaten by a giant spider in my bathtub and now I'm back as a big, glowing ghost thingy. Oh, and I can't go into public becuse people run away like scared two-year-olds." Yay for her.

.......By the way, May is Mae's Month!!! This should be interesting...... Muahahahahah......

Tina's Story Parts I and II: By MiniMaj

Yes, here we go, our next installment of stories written by Mae's niece, Amanda, and written about our lovely Lambs. Featured below is Tina's story, and it's quite colorful. I've posted some visual stimulation as well. I LOVE it.

Yeah, I'm 41 days behind. Deal.
Ahem - So, now I, MiniMaj, present to you, whoever's reading this, "February (and March . . . and April . . . yeah, I'm lazy - deal) is . . . Tina's Month! . . . s."!
Here's Part One of Tina's Story! Yay.....

-- PART ONE --

"Tina . . ." he called through the darkness. I spun around again, my hair wet from the dripping sewers that seemed to go on for miles. Or maybe it was the fog that was building up in the sewer. "Tina, come here . . . . I have some jokes for you . . ."

Crap. Shit. I was going to die in a sewer, killed by a clown with the longest teeth ever. I tripped over something, falling with a splash in the puddle on the ground. I coughed to get the sewer water out of my mouth, then realized what I tripped over. It was the head of a small girl, her eyes glossed over with death, her mouth permanently frozen open. Her head was ripped from her body, and there was still blood coming put from where her neck should have started. I screamed and scrambled backwards.

My elbow bumped into something, and I looked behind me to see a rainbow pant leg. I followed the leg up to see him standing behind me, his clown smile painted on his face. He was staring at me, almost right through me - it was like he was looking inside of me, making sure that I would satisfy him when he decided to eat me later.

"Her name was Suzie. She tasted like meatloaf. I like meatloaf. . ." I started backing up, crawling on my elbows. I couldn't take my eyes from his, and ended up stumbling over Suzie's head again. I fell on my back, helpless, while he walked closer to me, then knelt down until his face was two feet away from mine. I put my arms up in front of my face - a last attempt at shielding myself from the clown. "I wonder if you taste like meatloaf, Tina . . ."

My alarm clock went off, as usual. I shot up in bed, pulling the covers in closer to me, trying to hide from whatever brought on the dream. I found it odd that I'd actually gotten up with my alarm this time. Usually, I sleep through it like a dead donkey, or it isn't loud enough*. I looked around for my phone, finding it on the bathroom counter, charging. I sleepily got out of bed and went over to turn the alarm off. I glanced in the mirror and staggered backwards because I saw the clown from my dream. After my heart stopped threatening to pound out of my chest, I looked again.

What I had thought was the clown was actually me - my reddish-blond hair was sticking up in all directions, and my eyes were red and puffy. My nose was red and irritated - I was coming down with yet another cold. Great. I turned off my alarm and jumped into the shower. After the water started getting cold, I turned off the shower, stepped out, and started to dry my hair. The towel fell over my face, and I started humming,"Time to Say Goodbye", by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. I started to do a little naked dance, too.

"Christina," I heard someone say. I screamed and pulled the towel around myself, backing up into the shower. It took me a minute to realize that it was Maj standing in my bathroom, her face expressionless - which told me that I was actually talking to Allyx, one of the Sparkles.

"Dear God, Allyx!" I said, stepping out of the shower again. I looked into Maj's -Allyx's, whatever - eyes, and I caught a glimpse of . . . something. "What the hell are you doing in my bathroom?"

"Christina, Queen of the Sparkles, you are needed to defend your loyal subjects against the evil Periwinkles." Maj's - er, Allyx's voice came out as a hiss, like usual. Apparently, the Sparkles' native language sounded like snakes on steroids. "We are counting on you. Without your help, the Sparkles will be destroyed."

"I'm sorry, did you say 'the evil Periwinkles'?" I had to stop myself from breaking out in laughter. "This is real, right? I'm not still dreaming, am I?"

"This is real, Christina," She folded her hands behind her back and glared at me. "Now, to assist you in fighting the Periwinkles, I can grant you something to defend us against them, such as -"

"Whoa! Do I get the wings like Maj? Or maybe the horns? Kick-ass sword?" Maj narrowed her eyes at me. "Telepathy? Something?"

"You're worse than Majalyn's children, I swear," she rolled her eyes at me. "No, you get . . ."

She reached behind her back, and something sparkled - I heard a hiss and briefly thought that she'd set my bathroom on fire. Instead, she pulled from behind her back . . . A frying pan. I think that I could have killed her right then and there, if she didn't have the power to summon a sword that would slice me in half without any thought.

"You, Christina, are awarded the Frying Pan of Destiny. It is one of the Sparkles' greatest honors, and only our best warriors are able to use it." She smiled and handed it to me. I took it and stared at it. I was your regular run-of-the-mill frying pan. Silver and black. No special colors for me. Whoop-de-do.

"The Frying Pan of Destiny? Really?" I looked back up at her, the pan held loosely in my right hand, and my left hand held up the towel that I was still wearing. "Maj gets the wings, the horns, the sword, the fucking superpowers - and I get . . . I get 'The Frying Pan of Destiny'? Great."

I pushed past Maj and went into my bedroom to get dressed. I didn't really care that Maj/Allyx was standing behind me - we were all girls. Well, I'm not sure that you could call a small, sparkling thing male or female . . . Whatever. I pulled on a t-shirt and jeans and went towards my kitchen to get some coffee. It was only seven in the morning, and I needed caffeine. Luckily, I didn't have to go to work today. I put The Frying Pan of Destiny on the counter while I got a mug.

"Tina, you have to have faith - you're our last hope," Maj was following me into my kitchen. "Trust me, The Frying Pan of Destiny will help you greatly."

"Yeah, sure it will. And I'm going to win the lottery today, and I'm going to get a flying unicorn." I snorted as I poured the coffee. "Right. So, how do I know who these, 'Periwinkles' are?"

There was no reply. I turned around, and I was alone in the kitchen. "Allyx? Maj? Guys?" I checked the rest of my home, and I was sure that I was alone. Stupid Sparkles with their powers. The powers that they didn't even bother giving to me. No, instead, I get a frying pan.

"The Frying Pan of Destiny. What could it possibly do? Make the Fried Eggs of Hope? How about the Bacon of Life?" I angrily picked up the coffee and went into the living room and turned on the TV. I settled on a biography on Johnny Depp. I took a sip of my coffee, and realized that I didn't put any milk in it. I went back into my kitchen, and grabbed the milk. When I closed the door, he was standing there, with that creepy smile painted on his face.

It was the clown from my dream. I hate clowns - they are evil creatures. My breath quickened and, panicking, I threw the milk in his face. While he was spitting and coughing, I grabbed The Frying Pan of Destiny, and whacked him on the head. He staggered, and I ran towards my bedroom closet, clutching The Frying Pan of Destiny close to me. In my bedroom, searching under my bed was another clown. When he heard me skitter into the room, he jumped up and started running towards me. Not knowing what else to do, I swung the frying pan like a baseball bat at his head, and it connected with a bang. The clown fell to the floor, and I jumped over him, headed for my closet.

I hid behind my clothes that were hanging, hugging The Frying Pan of Destiny like it was the only thing that was keeping me alive. For the time being, it was.

"Okay, Frying Pan of Destiny, work your magic," I whispered to it. Nothing happened. "Uh, okay, then. Frying Pan of Destiny, I call upon your really cool powers." Nothing. "Please help me?" Nada. "I, Christina, Queen of the Sparkles, call upon your powers, Frying Pan of Destiny."

The Frying Pan of Destiny started glowing, and I came out of my hiding place. Feeling very proud of myself for making the frying pan work, I walked out of my closet. There were four clowns - two of which were bleeding from the head, and one of them had milk in his hair - outside the door, waiting for me. I held up The Frying Pan of Destiny, and it glowed brighter. I had no idea what to do next, so I took a chance. "Using the power from The Frying Pan of Destiny, I, Christina, banish thee from my home!"

The Frying Pan of Destiny shone brighter than the sun, or at least it seemed that way. I closed my eyes and looked away, but kept the pan in the air. I heard the clowns screech - a horrible, high-pitched sound, almost like nails on a chalkboard with a microphone next to it. The screeching stopped, and the pan stopped glowing. I looked back at my bedroom, and it was completely clown-free. I sighed and walked over to my bed, falling face-down on it's comforting softness.

See? I told you clowns were evil creatures.

--PART TWO --

"So, let me get this straight," Mrs. Kraft, my elderly neighbor said. "You were sleep walking - and sleep talking, and in your dream, there were things in your house, which you banished using your frying pan? Then your tea kettle steeped?"

"That sounds about right," I said, turning the frying pan over in my hands. "Once again, I'm really sorry for waking you up."

"It's no problem dear. You were just having a very . . . uh," she looked away for a second before looking back at me. "Vivid dream. May I use your restroom, Christina?"

"Sure," I said. "It's just down the hall there."

She got up from my couch and headed towards the bathroom. I looked down at The Frying Pan of Destiny. I definitely wasn't expecting this otherwise plain frying pan to save my life. I smiled as I touched the smooth interior of the little frying pan that could. I heard Mrs. Kraft scream from down the hall, and I ran down the hallway to where she was standing in my bedroom, staring at the clown's blood on my floor.

"Is that . . . blood?" she said, her voice only a little above a whisper.

"Uh, yeah . . . I stubbed my toe the other day," I said, and color returned to her face.

"On what? That's an awful lot of blood, dear," she looked at my feet - luckily, I had socks on.

"I, uh . . . had a pile of . . ." I looked around my room for an excuse. Outside the window, there was a large, brick building. "Bricks in my room. Yeah. I was planning on building a wall with the special needs children."

"Oh, I hadn't heard about that. When was it?" She seemed to be making pleasant conversation now.

"Well, the plans fell through . . ." I said, and tried to think of a way out of the mess that I'd put myself in. "I figured that if I'd hurt myself on the bricks, sending small children with anger management problems into the public wasn't such a great idea."

"Oh," she said. We were still standing at the door of my bedroom. "May I have some water?"

"Sure," I said, thankful for the distraction. "Come with me."

I headed for the kitchen, completely forgetting about the milk and blood on the floor - that is, until Mrs. Kraft screamed again.

"Dear Lord," she whispered. "More bricks?"

Shit. "Uh, no, Mrs. Kraft. I was getting out the milk to put into my coffee, and a vampire bird hit my window. I pricked my finger on the milk carton." I glanced at her face, and her eyes were wide in disbelief.

"Vampire birds?" she said, her hand flying to her throat. "How did you know it was a vampire bird?"

"Yeah . . . It had teeth," I grabbed a towel to clean up the mess in my kitchen. "Big, long, pointy teeth. You know what, Mrs. Kraft? I have to be getting to work soon, so maybe this isn't the best time."

"Yes, right." I didn't think that little old women could do any more than hobble around, but she practically sprinted to my front door, mumbled a, 'goodbye', and was gone.

"Well," I said to myself. "That went well." I snorted. After I was done wiping up the blood and the milk, I threw away the towel. I realized that my TV was still on, so I went over and turned it off. I rubbed my face with my hands, and tried to think of what to do next. I decided that it would be a good idea to talk to Allyx, so I put on my shoes, grabbed my phone, and
opened my door.

Standing just over the threshold was yet another clown. He was literally breathing on me, so I slammed the door in his face. I wondered how Mrs. Kraft had missed it, because she would have ran smack into his chest when she ran out of my apartment. After my heart stopped it's little marathon inside my chest, I remembered that I'd banished the clowns from my apartment. I'd banished them with my special Frying Pan of Destiny. They couldn't come inside, much less kill me. Suddenly feeling better, I opened the door again, and backed up about a foot - I didn't want to take any chances.

The clown was glaring at me, his eyes narrow slits. I gave him a bright smile, then stuck out my tongue and wiggled my butt like the immature two-year-old I am at heart. His frown deepened, and his nostrils flared. I decided to flip him off, too.

He'd apparently had enough, because he quickly walked away. I stopped looking like an idiot and closed my door before he changed his mind and called his mafia friends to come and kill me.

If I couldn't go to Allyx, she could come to me. I took out my cell and called Maj, aka Allyx. Sometimes. It rang three times before Maj answered.

"Hello?" It was definitely Maj - no hissing.

"Hey, Maj. It's Tina," I sat down on my couch. "Could you and Allyx come over to my place? It's important."

"Well, we're kind of in the middle of something right now. Maybe we could meet -" I cut her off. I wasn't in the best of moods this morning. First, I had a terrifying dream, then Allyx was in my bathroom while I was naked, and then my house got raided by clowns, who I banished from my house with a frying pan.

"No, if I leave my house, the clowns will get me, and whippin' out the ol' Frying Pan of Destiny in a public place isn't the best idea," I said. "It kind of gets really bright, and I have to yell some stuff about how I have to banish the clowns from ever going to McDonald's ever again. It's the sort of thing that attracts attention, so could you please come over to my place?"

"Sure. I'll be there in an hour." She hung up. So, now I had an hour to take a nap. I looked at the time - 7:48. I snuggled into the couch, and I fell asleep immediately.

About ten minutes later, there was a crash that sounded like glass breaking. I sat straight up on the couch, and standing in my living room was a unicorn. With wings. In. My. Living. Room. Yep - it was just another Sunday. The unicorn with wings bowed his head and knelt before me. I slowly got up from the couch, and admired its beautiful silky white mane. I think it even sparkled a little bit.

"Christina, Queen of the Sparkles, I am Ed. I have been sent by Allyxandri'ah to assist you in any way that I can." I couldn't decide if it was actually talking to me, or if I was dreaming. I continued walking towards it. Its coat was sparkling, too. I actually pinched myself. "This is not a dream, Christina. The Sparkles have allies on this Earth, among them the Flying Unicorns."

"Uh-huh. Sure." I reached out and stroked his mane. "Pretty horsey."

"I'm not a fucking horse. I'm a Flying Unicorn. Did you miss the huge horn sticking out of my head? Or these wings?" To emphasize that, he spread his gorgeous wings, which took up most of the space in my living room. It snapped me out of whatever daze that I was in.

"Wait, you said that your name was Ed?" I snorted. "Do you go by Mister Ed?" He stood up, which made him a lot taller than me. He looked down at me, and his eyes were ice blue. Chilling.

"You know, I can leave anytime." He started backing up. I tangled my fingers in his mane to stop him. "Ow, ow! Okay, fine. I'll stay. Just don't call me a horse again."

"Sorry. What exactly were you sent here for?" I untangled my fingers and sat back down on my couch. He let out a sound that sounded like a sigh. I didn't think that horses - I mean Flying Unicorns could sigh.

"To do the bidding of the Queen of the Sparkles," he looked at me again. I probably looked like crap, but I didn't care. I looked behind him to where he'd burst through my window.

"I can't afford to replace the wall, the window, and the carpet . . ." I said, thinking. I remembered something I'd said earlier. "Yeah, sure it will. And I'm going to win the lottery today, and get a flying unicorn." Holy crap. There was a Flying Unicorn standing in my living room. "Can you take me to the nearest convenience store? Or gas station?"

"Anywhere you wish, my Queen," I decided that I liked the sound of that. "We might have to hide from sight, though. Grab that blanket over there." I obeyed him, and brought it over to him. He blew on it.

"What the hell?" I said, taking my blanket back before it got Flying Unicorn snot on it.

"I can only hide myself from human eyes," he explained. "I just made that blanket able to hide you, too. Go ahead, put it on, then look in the mirror."

I wrapped the blanket around me, then walked over to the mirror. Sure enough, I didn't have a reflection. I spun around, and there still was no me in the mirror. That was freaking cool. I started to head back over to Ed, prepared to hop onto his back and fly away, but I remembered something important. I grabbed The Frying Pan of Destiny and tucked it under the blanket.

"Was that The Frying Pan of Destiny?" Ed asked as I climbed onto his massive back.

"Yes. It was a gift from Allyx," I said as he backed out of the hole in my wall. My apartment was a complete mess, but it wasn't like I was inviting anyone that would care over. Maj and Allyx would understand the whole the-clowns-destroyed-my-stuff-then-a-Flying-Unicorn-burst-through-my-window thing.

After we landed behind the convenience store, I walked about ten feet away from Ed before I took the blanket off. I walked around to the front, and saw that the jackpot was thirty million. Awesome. I walked in and bought a Lotto Max ticket. The clerk scanned it in his little scanner thing, and his eyes got really wide.

"Congratulations, you've just won the lottery." he said. He looked at me, probably expecting me to jump around excitedly. When I didn't, I half-smiled at him and shrugged.

"Yay?"

P.S. - I know that Part Two isn't as funny as Part One - it's just adding a bit of depth. It'll get better sooner or later....

Twilight New Moon Spoof - Rise of the Man Wolf (Jacob)

So, MiniMaj emailed Aunt Mae and me this...and it's just priceless.

I can't pick a favourite part, but Edward leaving Bella...Laurent spitting up venom...Jake's 'boys'...it's just all too much.

But, Italian man-wolf Jake? *cringes* I refuse to be of Italian heritage for, like, at least a day...just sayin'. No pasta today, no veal...no parmigiano...niente.

MiniMaj is earning her Lambs' wool, that's all I know *giggles hysterically*

Sparkle Showdown at the Scarborough Corral

This is a special gift for missmaj from Maelyn's niece, MiniMaj. This was supposed to be ready back in January, since January was BigMaj month...LOL.

Anyway, MiniMaj has an author's note at the end, too.

So, sit back and enjoy MiniMaj's gift to missmaj *winks at Maj* You still awake, sleepy head?

*****

Maj's POV

I laughed when Mae tweeted her last post: Maelyn_ @missmaj Mini You is here! SHUSH! 'Mini me' is Mae's niece, who's an awesome author, considering that she's only 13, as of today, actually. We call her 'MiniMaj' because she sounds just like me when she writes, and I had actually called her a 'mini me'. The name had caught on, and she even had a website that she uploaded her stories to.

Suddenly there was a rumble, and my entire house shook with it. There was a large explosion that followed and some of my windows shattered. I shrieked and ran towards the front door. My husband was out with the kids, and I had a sudden scary thought that they might be harmed in some way. I shoved my door open and practically fell through it. I stood up and brushed myself off, then looked around at the wreckage that was my neighborhood.

There were houses that were missing entire walls, cars that were completely destroyed, and debris strewn across peoples' lawns. I stared in awe at the damage that the explosion had caused. Another pang of fear passed through me for my family. I started walking towards the car before I realized that they had taken it to the park.

While I was standing in my driveway, little pieces of metal started falling in front of me. As they formed the shape of a person, I realized that they weren't pieces of metal, but little sparkling creatures.

"Majalyn Isip," it - or they, I'm not really sure - said. Its voice sounded like a whole bunch of chipmunks talking at once. "You have been chosen to help the Sparkles take over this world."

I almost burst out laughing, but the creepiness of the situation kept my mouth shut. "What? Who are you?"

"We are the Sparkles and we need your help, Majalyn, to recreate this world that the humans reside on. We need you to...take care of some people for us."

"Uh, you mean, like, kill people? Hell, no!" I turned around and started walking away, but the 'Sparkles' fluttered around me and reassembled in front of me again.

"You don't have a choice in the matter, Majalyn. If you won't come to us willingly, we will take you by force," it said, and a single sparkle separated from the rest. It flipped through the air a little bit, then fluttered into my nose. There was an incredibly weird feeling as the sparkle wiggled around inside my nose, and I sneezed. The sparkle came out again and it looked like it shook itself off. After it was finished, it shot into my nose at an alarming speed - a speed at which I wouldn't want small, glittery beings traveling inside my nose.

"Allyxandri'ah will assist you in any training that she finds necessary," it said, and then a slight breeze passed, and all of the sparkles fluttered away. I let out a breath, then turned around and headed back towards my house to call my family. I only took one step, though, because I abruptly turned around and started walking towards town. The weird thing was, I didn't want to go to town - I wasn't in control of my actions.

"I think that I find some training necessary," I heard a voice say. It sounded like they (I couldn't tell the gender of the voice; it sounded like a low hiss to me) were surrounding me. I tried to look around to find this person, but I still couldn't control my movements. "My name is Allyxandri'ah, and I am a Xchi'ari, or 'Sparkle', as you humans call us. Our ruler, Okibun'al, sent me to train you, Majalyn. Now, you need to learn how to fly."

A flurry of thoughts rushed through my head. Who was this 'Allyxandri'ah', and was she the Sparkle that flew into my nose? How was I supposed to talk to her if she was in my head? Think really, really hard? I think I can, I think I can... While I was thinking about this, I hardly noticed that I had run into a building and was running upstairs.

"Where are we going?" I said aloud because it felt kind of stupid to think to myself. Of course, talking to myself wasn't really any better.

"Like I said, you need to learn to fly". This terrified me. Heading up the stairs of a six-story tall building with a Sparkle in my brain just didn't sound like the safest thing that I could be doing on such a lovely Saturday afternoon. I tried to stop myself, but Allyxandri'ah was still in control. We were still running, and I was surprised at how fast I was moving, considering how I had just traveled at least a half a mile.

I stopped at a door briefly before opening it and running to one of the window rooms. I - or we - burst through the door and interrupted a meeting. Everyone was sitting around a big oak table and they all looked up at me.

"Uh, can I help you with something?" the man at the head of the table asked. I tried to respond, but I couldn't move. Allyxandri'ah was still in control. After a moment, we turned and jumped though the window, glass shattering all around my body. I could hear the people behind me screaming, and I let out an internal scream myself.

"Do you ever shut up?" Allyxandri'ah hissed from inside my head. "I haven't yet heard you stop rambling to yourself up here. You humans are so noisy!" I didn't think to respond because the ground was getting closer very quickly. I closed my eyes and realized that I had control of my body again. I tried to stop myself from falling, but I ended up just flopping around in mid-air. When I was facing down again, I realized that I was almost to the ground.

"Do I have to do everything?" Allyxandri'ah asked. I felt a sharp pain in my back, just below my shoulder blades. I tried to look back, but my body jerked upwards, and I heard the sound of great wings flapping. I looked around for a minute, trying to find this mysterious over-sized eagle, or dragon, or whatever it was. It took me a few seconds to realize that it was me making the noise.

There were two huge, black sparkling wings that had grown out from my back. They were easily the size of me and then some. I tried to flex them, but Allyxandri'ah was flying me somewhere.

"Where are we going?" I asked aloud, too startled by the fact that I had wings.

"Somewhere with less witnesses." She sounded angry, and considering the fact that she was in my head and could control my body if she so chose to, I didn't ask anymore questions.

We ended up flying into the woods somewhere. She landed us on a log and released whatever hold that she had on my body. I stumbled a bit, but I caught my balance before I fell. I looked back at my wings and stretched my newly formed muscles. 'That is so cool', I thought.

"Yes...yes, it is. The reason that I brought you here is so that I can show you your true form, and also to give you a bit of a history lesson." I sat down on the log because the fatigue from running so far had finally caught up with me. "Years and years ago, when the Beasts, which I believe you call 'dinosaurs', roamed the earth, humans were very different. They looked similar to how you will soon enough. They were merciless creatures, killing anyone who rebelled, killing for no reason at all sometimes. Then one of them, Archaius, proposed that they change their ways. He was a bright one - I was sad to see him go. Anyway, he came up with...something, and it changed the humans greatly. As you can see, they are a very different group now. Archaius became the new leader of the humans, and he led a group of humans into hiding when my brother, Haiiolu'ah, released his fury upon this world, killing almost everything on this planet, including the Beasts. We Sparkles have lived in hiding ever since. That is, until now."

"How were you hiding? I'm pretty sure that nearly every inch of the world has been explored since the dinosaurs."

"We Xchi'ari have the ability to change our size. We have disguised ourselves as stars. We were safe until recently, when your scientists started to investigate. Some of us were forced out of hiding."

"So," I started cautiously, "how long have the Sparkles been around?"

"I have been in existence for a little over 2 billion years. There are others who are much, much older than me. Like Okibun'al, our leader. He is older than Earth."

"You mentioned that humans looked similar to what I'd look like shortly. What exactly does that mean?" I felt my face to make sure that it felt the same.

"I will show you."

I had the odd experience of looking at myself from the front. I watched in both horror and fascination as large, black, sparkling horns sprouted out from my temples. My eyes grew larger and darkened until they were black. My fingernails grew longer and also turned black. My hair, which was already a dark, dark brown, also grew and darkened. All in all, I looked like one bad-ass demon thing.

Suddenly, I returned to my own body. I had an urge to fly somewhere, to try out my newly discovered awesomeness. I spread my wings and flew. Directly into a tree. I heard Allyx laughing at me. It took me two more tries before I actually managed to get out of the woods and fly around a little bit. I was still new at the whole flying thing, so I flopped around a bit. While I was flying, the sun had started to set, and I realized that I also had some pretty awesome night vision. I officially declared this whole demon experience to be the single most awesome thing to ever happen to me.

"Anyway, back to business." Allyx said, and she ruined my fun by bringing me back down to solid earth. "We have been studying you for a long time, Majalyn. We have seen who you like and dislike. You seem to have taken a certain disliking to your son's substitute teacher, Ms. Long. Your first assignment is to kill her."

"What?! Kill her?" I gasped in disbelief. "Look, she can be a bitch at times, but I don't want her dead! You Sparkles must have a different way of going about doing things than us. There are laws against this! I can't - "

"Shut up, shut up, shut up! Would you like to return to your normal self, only to be killed later?" I stayed silent. "That's what I thought. Now, I know where she is right now. Would you like to go to her and make her death a quick and painless one? Or would you rather wait until you are in a 'better mood'?"

It was obviously a hypothetical question because Allyx flew us back towards town. She landed us in the middle of a crowded street, and many people ran off, screaming things about the world ending, and how the devil had come up to end them. I looked around and realized that the earthquake this morning hadn't affected this part of town because everything looked like it normally did - no debris lying around, no buildings in ruin. Strange.

"We came for you, and you only, Majalyn. That is why only your street was damaged." She walked us into a dentist's office, where several more people ran away, screaming. Some even jumped through the window. Allyx walked back to one of the rooms and let me take over. There, in the dentist's chair, was Ms. Isabella Long. She had always been cruel to my youngest son, making him work harder than she made the others in his class. He had always come home exhausted from a hard day at school.

The dentist was busy drilling in her mouth, and Isabella had her eyes closed tight. I walked in and I swallowed because my throat was suddenly dry. The thought of killing someone terrified me, but if I didn't do it, the Sparkles would probably kill me and my family. I tapped the dentist on the shoulder. He turned around, got one look at me, and fled the room. I looked back at Isabella.

She still had her eyes closed. She hadn't even noticed that the dentist had left. I wanted to make her death as quick and painless as possible, so I tried to remember how they did it in the movies. I didn't happen to have a gun or sword handy, so that was out of the question. I could drill through her skull, although I doubted that that would be either quick or painless.

"Your nails are nice and sharp," Allyx whispered. I looked down at my hands. My nails did have nice, sharp edges that came to very pointy tips. I could always decapitate her, I thought. That would leave a huge mess, though.

I settled for breaking her neck. I put one hand under her jaw, and the other on the side of her head. She opened her eyes just before I snapped her neck. Her eyes glossed over with what I assumed was death, and her neck made a sick, popping noise.

"Very good. Quick, painless, and clean. You have completed your first task as our assassin," Allyx said. She sounded fairly pleased with herself. "My job is complete. I'll go and tell Okibun'al of your success."

Allyx left my nose, and I sneezed again.

"That is so revolting!" she said, before she took off out of the room. I looked down at the dead body on the chair below me. In disgust at what I had done, I walked out of the office.

----------------------------

Two days later, I was sitting alone in the woods, where I had spent most of my time ever since I had become the Sparkles' assassin. I hadn't gone to see my family, and I was missing them terribly. I couldn't show my face in public because people ran away in terror. I wasn't loving my horns and wings as much as I had two days before.

Suddenly, the earth shook violently, and a tree fell somewhere near where I was. Instinctively, I flew into the air. I glanced towards town, and people were running and screaming. I headed towards civilization, worried about my family.

As I neared a street, I saw what the people were running from. There was a great horde of Sparkles slowly floating down the street, and the whole block glowed yellow. I almost flew towards it, but someone on the side of the road was trying to get my attention. I looked over, and I saw someone that looked vaguely familiar. I flew down and landed beside her.

"Maj? What are you doing here? The world is ending, don't you know?" It was the voice that gave it away.

"Lucy?" I asked, shocked at seeing my friend, who I knew from our blog. "What the hell are you doing here?"

She briefly scanned me, no doubt taking in my newest look, before she answered. "My boss sent me here to investigate a rumor about an earthquake." She looked over at the army of Sparkles. "Looks like you have a bit more trouble than an earthquake, though."

The Sparkles were getting pretty close to us now, so I grabbed Lucy by the waist and flew to somewhere safer. Somewhere where small, sparkling beings weren't threatening to trample us. I decided to land on the roof of a nearby building.

"Whoa. You can fly?" Lucy spun around as soon as her feet touched solid ground.

"Um, yeah. About that. You see, the Sparkles recruited me as their new assassin. They made me into what humans used to look like so that I could help them take over the world, or some shit. Anyway, Allyx abandoned me after I killed my son's substitute teacher, so I've been alone for the past two days."

Lucy's facial expression changed from shocked, to scared, to disgust, then back to shock. It was an odd experience. "Wait. You killed your son's substitute teacher?"

So, I told her the whole story, and by the time I was finished, Lucy was sitting on the edge of the roof. I considered warning her that she was atop a three-story building, but I thought that I would be able to catch her before she hit the ground. She stared straight ahead for a little bit, and I began to fidget. Suddenly, my cell - that I didn't even know that I had - rang. I flipped it open without even looking at the caller ID. I'm a frigging demon-human hybrid. Nobody could possibly talk me into buying the latest "lemon yellowizer".

"Hello?" I said.

"Maj? What the fuck is going on?" It was Tina, another one of my friends from my Fanfiction stuff. I recognized her voice from many, many times on Skype. "Some sparkling freaks just flew in my window and told me that I was the Queen of the Sparkles. They also said that you would perform any assassinations that I found necessary. Again I ask, what the fuck is going on here?"

"Uh, Tina! How nice to hear from you!" I glanced at Lucy, and she was glaring at me, so I sighed and repeated the story to Tina. About halfway through the story, Lucy's phone rang and she answered it. After I was finished telling Tina the story, I waited for her reply.

"Sweet! I am the Queen of the Sparkles! Wait, wasn't Mae's niece talking about Sparkles in one of her stories?" I thought about that, and I realized that she was right. But, before I could answer, Tina was saying how she was going to meet me as soon as possible. The next thing I knew, she had hung up, but not before she let out a squeal.

"Mae and her niece are on their way," Lucy said. "Amanda got a call, considering that, other than you, she's the only human that knows anything about the Sparkles."

There was a flash of light in front of my face, and I felt something wriggling around in my nose.

"Allyx?" I asked aloud. "I thought that you were done with me?"

"I was, but the world needs your help now, Majalyn. The others want to destroy this world and everyone in it. You need to leave. Now." It was strange how much I had missed that voice in my head.

"I can't just leave! I have family and friends here. And besides, where am I going to go? It's not like I can go and live on another planet or anything."

"Maj? Who are you talking to?" Lucy was giving me a very strange look.

"Oh, it's just Allyx. She's apparently one of the good Sparkles, now that they are trying to end the world." I tuned out Lucy so that I could concentrate on Allyx.

"Actually, you can go and live on another planet. Another benefit from being an early human. Anyway, we need to leave now, while we have the chance." Allyx sounded rushed.

"No. I'm not just abandoning my home. I'll die defending it, if that's what I have to do. I can't just give up."

"Very honorable. Now, let's go." I could feel Allyx try to control my body, but I pushed her out with all that I could. "What are you doing? Are you crazy? Is your honor really that important to you?"

"Stopping you from taking me away. Maybe. Yes. Now, can we go and save the world?" I didn't wait for an answer, I just grabbed Lucy around the waist and flew us back down to the street where we originally met. I put Lucy on the side of the road, and then I walked up to where the Sparkles were slowly making their way down the road.

'I can kill Sparkles, right?' I thought to Allyx.

"Yes. You will need to awaken further, though. Are you willing to be completely changed into what you truly are? There is no going back." I took a second to think. Literally, a second.

'I'm ready', I thought.

I saw myself from the front again, and I watched in shock as I changed even more. I grew spikes all along the sides of my arms. From my wrists sprouted long, sword-like things that were as black as my horns. My wings grew spikes. Now I looked like some bad-ass demon that was ready for battle.

"And one last thing. You will need this to ensure that the Sparkles that you kill stay dead." In my hand, a weapon appeared. It didn't look like your average sword. This thing was as big as me, and it was sparkling with black sparkles. The handle was very elegant, wrapping around my hand in silver spirals. It looked like it could do some serious damage. "This is the Daquir. It was what the best human warrior used so very long ago to kill us Sparkles. That is how I lost my parents, and that is why my brother exploded." She sounded sad, and I wanted to comfort her, but I had some business to attend to.

I cleared my throat, but the Sparkles didn't seem to notice. So, I just went up and whacked one of them with the sword. It exploded into a flurry of gold. Suddenly, all of the Sparkles turned on me at once, burning my skin, but I just spun around, waving the sword like I actually had an idea about what I was doing. A lot of them blew away in the wind, until one of them managed to get the sword away from me. I tried to grab at it, but they had flung it into the middle of the road, and then they ganged up on me. I tried to defend myself with my spikes and the weapons that had grown from my wrists, but there were too many.

I was falling, and my vision was filling with Sparkles, so much so that I couldn't see passed them. I felt myself giving into them, letting them win.

"Damn you! Let me in, Maj! You are the one that wanted to save the world! How are you going to do that if you're dead! Let me in!" It was Allyx, but I found myself unable to care anymore. I was almost going to close my eyes and let them win, but a huge group of them disappeared before me, and I could see that someone had picked up the sword and was attacking them. I tried to sit up, but there were some Sparkles that were holding me down. Soon enough, though, my hero had those taken care of, too. A hand popped into my field of vision. I grabbed it and it pulled me up off the ground.

I was astonished when I saw who it was. I saw a girl that couldn't be any older than fifteen standing in front of me. She had a wide smile on her face, and she was holding the Daquir. She handed it over to me, then hugged me tightly. When she pulled back, her grin hadn't shrunk at all.

"You must be Maj! I'm Amanda, and I'm here to save all your butts!" She grinned and looked around, and I realized that at some point while I was fighting, both Tina and Mae had arrived. Pretty sweet timing, huh? I saw Mae standing near Lucy, staring at me. Tina was busy clapping excitedly.

"Mae? It's so good to see you in real life!" I went over to her, and she gave me a flash of a smile. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," she said. "Just the fact that you have wings and spikes and horns and shit." She smiled a little bit wider.

"Anyway, if I understand the Sparkles correctly," Amanda was saying. "They should be headed for us right about now. In my opinion, if we're gonna have to fight them, we should be able to choose the location of the battle."

"She's right, you know. They won't enjoy finding out that we have turned on them. We should head somewhere more...private." Allyx's voice was barely above a whisper.

"What's wrong, Allyx?" I said.

"You have blocked me out. That's why I couldn't take control of your body and fight back. You need to let me in, Majalyn." Even as she spoke, her voice faded into the distance. I tried numerous times to open whatever 'doors' I had closed earlier. Before I could ask Allyx how to do that, I heard a loud, pulsing noise coming from behind me. I looked at my friends' faces, and I could guess what was behind me.

The Sparkles had arrived. All of them. I turned around, and was nearly blinded by the light that was radiating off of them. They were slowly making their way towards us. I noticed that the pulsing noise was actually all of the Sparkles humming simultaneously. It was actually quite creepy. None of the humans were saying anything, but I could feel them slowly backing away from me.

"It's time to die, turkeys!" I heard a voice shout from a nearby rooftop. I looked up and saw Kay, holding a compound bow. She was aiming it straight at the Sparkles. I smiled to myself as I got my sword ready.

Everything happened very suddenly. The Sparkles charged at me, and I was ready for them. I had a steady rhythm down, when I heard Kay's compound bow fire. Smiling, I swiped a few Sparkles in one blow.

In mid-swing, I heard a man's voice say, "Wait! Stop! What are you doing?" All of the Sparkles suddenly backed up, and they formed a circle around me. I looked around for the man who had interrupted my fighting.

"Who does he think he is to stop an epic battle between humans and Xchi'ari?" Allyx's voice was perfectly clear now, and she sounded kind of pissed. I finally found this man, and he looked exactly like Jackson Rathbone. "Never mind. He can interrupt any time. Maj, did you notice how good-looking he is? Maybe humans aren't so bad." All I could do was nod as I saw how much he looked like Jackson.

"There's no need for fighting. If the Sparkles have been living in space for all these years, then why can't they just go and find another planet to live on? Why do they have to have this one? They can have the entire universe, if you think about it." Jackson was slowly walking closer to us, and I swear I drooled. Just a little bit.

"He's right," the Sparkles said in unison. "We don't need oxygen like you puny humans. We can survive on another planet, where there is little or no oxygen."

"Wait, is that Jackson?" Amanda whispered to me.

"I think it is." I tried to whisper back, but it's amazing how the control that you think you have over your voice and body can disappear.

"Thank you, Monroe Jackson Rathbone. How can we repay you?" The Sparkles had backed up, and I could see the entire group. Tina was blushing bright pink, Mae was staring just a bit, Kay - who was still on the rooftop - was leaning over the edge to get a better look. Amanda was looking at everyone and laughing quietly to herself. Lucy was staring at the Sparkles, obviously a little weirded out about the whole talking-in-unison thing.

"I would like it very much if you returned this lovely woman back to what she used to look like," he smiled at me.

"Did you see that, Maj? He smiled at me!" Allyx was literally squealing with delight.

"No! He's mine!" I screamed at Allyx.

"What are you talking about? I am an all-powerful Xchi'ari! You have no right to order me around!"

"An all-powerful Xchi'ari? You're the size of a freaking snowflake! How in the world could I bow down to you?" Everyone around me was starting to give me odd looks.

"Is this what you wish, Majalyn?" The Sparkles were saying to me. I thought about that for a minute. I could be a freak to the general population, or I could be able to show my face in public.

"Yes, it is."

This time, I didn't have the out-of-body experience, I just felt my wings melt away from my back, and everything else go back to normal. I could still hear Allyx mumbling in my head about incompetent humans, though.

"Allyxandri'ah, do you wish to leave with us? Or do you feel an attachment to the humans?" I swear if the Sparkles had faces, they'd be sneering at the thought.

"I wish to stay. Goodbye, father." Allyx was talking, using my mouth. As soon as the words left my mouth, all of the Sparkles shot towards the sky.

"Wait, why was I named Queen if I didn't do anything?" Tina said.

"Oh, don't worry, Christina. They will find some use for you," Allyx said for me.

Everyone turned their gaze on Jackson, who gave a heart-melting smile. "Well, I suppose that this is cause for a celebration."

Out of nowhere, people - guitarists, a drummer, some other musicians and dancers - came out into the middle of the street, and Jackson and his 'band' began to just act strange...

THE END

I hope you enjoyed it! I apologize for the delay. I had some trouble with the storyline.
